STANDARD FIVE-Managerial Leadership
School executives will ensure that the school has processes and systems in place for budgeting, staffing, problem solving, communicating expectations and scheduling that result in organizing the work routines in the building. The school executive must be responsible for the monitoring of the school budget and the inclusion of all teachers in the budget decisions so as to meet the 21st century needs of every classroom. Effectively and efficiently managing the complexity of every day life is critical for staff to be able to focus its energy on improvement.
A) School Resources and Budget

As part of our School Budget Class we were given the budget of an actual middle school in a nearby county and some background information on the school. After reviewing the school's information and annual budget, we were tasked with preparing a plan to meet the needs of the school within the budget. Our Team made suggestions to add various positions to improve the school per the goals of the school improvement plan.

B) Conflict Management and Resolution
The school executive effectively and efficiently manages the complexity of human interaction so that the focus of the school can be on improved student achievement. While during the panademic we still wanted to enforce the rules of No Bullying during virtual learning. In response, our teamed with the school counselors and we created a plan for Virtual Bullying Awareness Week. My major contribution to this task was creating the flyer and going into the classroom speaking and showing a video.

C) Systematic Communication
The school executive designs and utilizes various forms of formal and informal communication so that the focus of the school can be on improved student achievement At Merrick-Moore Elementary School we as a leadership team create flyers for the parents to give updates on things we were currently working on. In addition, we gave advice how to help you child during the breaks at to continue to enrich their learning.

D) School Expectation for Student and Staff
The school executive develops and enforces expectations, structures, rules and procedures for students and staff. |
One of the first tasks we did as a Administrative team was to review, editing, and updating of the school's Staff Handbooks. This handbook implement to let staff know rules, procedures and expectations during the virtual learning.
